As we observe the heightened security measures being implemented around our nation’s capital and other key locations, it is clear that we are in a period of significant uncertainty and potential risk. The recent barricading of the White House and the Treasury, without an official explanation, underscores the gravity of the situation. While the specifics of these security actions remain undisclosed, it is prudent to assume that they are in response to credible, yet unpublished, threats to our national security.
In times like these, vigilance is not just a virtue—it is a necessity. As a candidate for governor, I urge every Minnesotan to adopt a stance of heightened awareness and readiness. The phrase “If you see something, say something” has never been more relevant. Whether it is an unusual activity in your community, a suspicious package, or any behavior that deviates from the norm, your alertness could be the difference between safety and danger.
