Statement from Phillip C. Parrish, Candidate for Governor of Minnesota 2026
To the people of Minnesota,
I commend the vast majority of you who embody the courage and integrity that define our great state. You stand tall, question everything, and speak truth to power, even in the face of adversity. Your unwavering commitment to transparency and justice, especially in the wake of the tragic assassination of Representative Melissa Hortman and her husband, Mark, and the attempted assassination of Senator John Hoffman and his wife, Yvette, is a testament to Minnesota’s resilient spirit. By demanding answers and refusing to be silenced, you honor the victims and uphold the principles of a free society.
However, I must sharply call out a small minority among us whose unhealthy behaviors threaten our shared pursuit of truth. Under the false pretense of “taste” or “timing,” these individuals attempt to shame and suppress open dialogue and investigation into these heinous acts. Their tactics—cloaked in virtue but rooted in cowardice—seek to stifle legitimate questions about the motives and connections behind these tragedies. Such actions reflect poor character and betray a troubling intent to obscure the truth, possibly to shield their own agendas or affiliations.
This minority’s efforts to silence Minnesotans are not only misguided but dangerous. By dismissing calls for accountability as “inappropriate,” they undermine justice and disrespect the very victims they claim to honor. I urge them to abandon these manipulative ploys and join the majority in demanding transparency, no matter how uncomfortable the answers may be.
As your candidate for Governor in 2026, I stand with the bold majority, committed to a Minnesota where truth prevails, and no one is above scrutiny. Together, we will reject the tactics of suppression and build a future rooted in honesty, courage, and unity.
