Statement from Phillip C. Parrish, Candidate for Governor of Minnesota, 2026
June 11, 2025
For Immediate Release
As Governor, I will ensure that government operations align with efficiency, fiscal responsibility, and the needs of Minnesotans. State agencies must adopt a clear stance on remote work: either fully embrace work-from-home policies for eligible roles and repurpose or sell underutilized government buildings, or require in-office work where it better serves the public. Roles that can effectively serve Minnesotans remotely should be optimized to do so, with the requirement that employees reside in Minnesota to maintain local accountability.
The real issue is the excessive spending on outdated bureaucratic infrastructure. Maintaining unnecessary buildings wastes taxpayer dollars that could be better invested in our communities. By selling or repurposing these assets, we can streamline government operations, reduce costs, and prioritize the needs of Minnesotans. My administration will focus on practical solutions to deliver a more efficient and responsive government for all.
Respectfully,
Phillip C Parrish
Candidate for Governor of Minnesota 2026
