A Heartfelt Message from Phillip C. Parrish, Candidate for Governor of Minnesota 2026
My fellow Minnesotans,
I stand before you today to speak from the heart on behalf of those who do the work—the hardworking men and women who rise each day to build, serve, and sustain our communities. You are the heartbeat of Minnesota, the ones who keep our state strong through your dedication, grit, and quiet pride. Your labor fuels our prosperity, and I see you. I hear you. And I am running for governor to be your voice.
There is a troubling group among us who claim the mantle of compassion, loudly proclaiming their support for certain communities. Yet, too often, their words betray a condescending view, portraying those they claim to champion as less capable, less worthy of the same standards of dignity and decency we all share. This patronizing attitude diminishes the very people they profess to uplift, treating them not as equals but as projects to be pitied.
These same individuals demand absolute agreement with their beliefs, unleashing chaos and anger on anyone who dares to think differently. Their so-called compassion vanishes when challenged, replaced by ridicule and scorn for those who don’t conform to their narrow vision. This is not unity—it’s division dressed in false virtue.
Worse, many in this group feel entitled to a lifestyle they haven’t earned, basking in the comforts of a society built by others’ sweat and sacrifice. They indulge in the benefits of our modern world while looking down on those who live more modestly, as if the honest labor of farmers, builders, teachers, or small-business owners is somehow lesser. They exploit the fruits of your hard work without lifting a finger to contribute to the foundation that supports us all.
I say enough. As your governor, I will stand unwaveringly against this hypocrisy. I will call out those who ridicule and demean the hardworking people of Minnesota, who hide behind fake virtue while sowing division. Their false demands for conformity and their disdain for honest toil have no place in the Minnesota we’re building together.
To every Minnesotan who shows up, who does the work, who keeps our state moving forward: you are the soul of this great state, and I am proud to stand with you. Do not let the judgment of those who contribute little dim your spirit. Your efforts are seen, your sacrifices are valued, and your dignity is non-negotiable. Together, we will reject the scorn of those who look down on us and forge a Minnesota that honors hard work, rewards effort, and unites us in shared purpose.
