Statement by Phillip Charles Parrish, Candidate for Governor of Minnesota 2026
Dear Minnesotans,
In the Gospel of Matthew 25:14-30, Jesus shares the Parable of the Talents, a powerful lesson about stewardship, courage, and faithfully using the gifts God has entrusted to us. This parable is not just a story—it’s a call to action that resonates deeply in my heart and guides my life’s purpose. It is one of the many reasons I, Phillip Charles Parrish, am running for Governor of Minnesota in 2026.
God our Father, Jesus our Brother, and the Holy Spirit have blessed each of us with unique skills, experiences, and talents. These gifts are not meant to be buried in fear or squandered in complacency but to be invested boldly for what is right and good. I believe that to stand idle, to ignore the challenges facing our state, would be to disappoint the One who gave me these gifts. My campaign is my commitment to honor this divine calling—to lead with integrity, to serve with compassion, and to build a Minnesota that reflects the values of justice, unity, and opportunity for all.
As I reflect on this parable, I see a Minnesota where every citizen is empowered to use their God-given talents to strengthen our communities. Together, we can create a state where families are protected, where children are safe and nurtured, and where our government operates with transparency and accountability. We can invest in education that equips our youth, in policies that support hardworking Minnesotans, and in reforms that restore trust in our institutions.

2. Promote Fiscal Responsibility: By streamlining government operations, embracing innovative solutions like remote work for public servants, and repurposing underused infrastructure, we can save taxpayer dollars and reinvest in our communities.
3. Foster Unity Through Faith and Action: Let’s come together, inspired by our shared values, to support local initiatives—food drives, mentorship programs, and community outreach—that uplift those in need.
4. Engage and Act: Use your voice to hold leaders accountable. Volunteer with our campaign, share our vision, and vote in 2026 to shape a Minnesota that honors God’s call to do good.
The Parable of the Talents reminds us that we are all stewards of God’s gifts. I am running for governor because I cannot stand by while our state faces division, inefficiency, and injustice. I ask you to join me—not out of fear, but out of faith; not for personal gain, but for the common good. Together, with the guidance of God our Father, Jesus our Savior, and the Holy Spirit, we can build a Minnesota that shines as a beacon of hope and righteousness.
