The news broke today through a live legislative hearing reported by Alpha News and echoed by Representative Pam Altendorf on X, who boldly labeled this a “MinnesotaMafia.” I stand with her—and with every Minnesotan outraged by this betrayal. As your candidate for Governor in 2026, I am sounding the alarm: this is not an isolated incident but a systemic criminal network that demands immediate action.
The details are staggering. The Minnesota Department of Human Services, under the watch of Governor Tim Walz’s administration, moved to terminate a $107 million program after “credible allegations of fraud” and “exponential growth in spending” came to light. The state suspended payments to 77 providers, and the FBI raided five businesses linked to Medicaid fraud, as reported by the Minnesota Reformer. This is not a mistake—it’s a white-collar criminal scheme that no one can claim they just didn’t know about.
