By Phillip C. Parrish, LCDR, USN (Ret.), Candidate for Governor of Minnesota 2026
As a retired Navy intelligence officer and whistleblower on Minnesota’s daycare fraud, I’ve dedicated my life to truth and justice. Today, I’m heartbroken by the assassination of Charlie Kirk on September 10, 2025. Charlie was a truly good man and American hero—devoted husband, father, and fearless advocate for faith, family, and freedom. I’ve spent years listening to his podcasts, reading, and watching his speeches; his clarity inspired millions, including me.
My team, supporters, and I are praying for Charlie’s wife Erika, their two children, and family. May God grant them comfort and strength.

This tragedy highlights toxic media bias. The Minneapolis Star Tribune’s September 10 article framed Charlie’s death by labeling his critiques “Islamophobic attacks,” implying provocation over mourning. This fits their pattern of demonizing conservatives resisting “woke” ideologies as racists or bigots, eroding community fabric.
Examples: In 2018, they allegedly called activist Laura Loomer a “Nazi,” sparking defamation threats. In 2023, they downplayed DEI accusations of “white supremacy,” dismissing critics as “far-right.” August 2025 linked a murder to “Christian nationalism” without evidence. Rated “Lean Left,” a 2022 poll shows 57% of Minnesotans see them as biased. I sharply condemn this divisive rhetoric—it polarizes and enables violence.
Do not let this deter you. Speak truth boldly; exercise your right to advocate beliefs. Charlie didn’t back down—we honor him by persisting in respectful debate and building a united Minnesota. God bless Charlie’s family and America.
With unwavering integrity and dedication,
Phillip
