In the dim glow of another scripted rollout, House Speaker Lisa Demuth stepped into the 2026 governor’s race last weekend, and the media machine whirred to life like clockwork. The Star Tribune’s Rochelle Olson penned a glowing-yet-gentle column, anointing Demuth the “Republican front-runner” and an “exciting jolt” to the field—hours after her announcement. It’s a familiar script: Hype the “electable” insider, frame the race as a Trump-Walz grudge match, and drown out the real rot eating our state alive. But here’s the truth they won’t print: This isn’t a campaign launch. It’s a distraction play from the elite puppeteers who pull strings across both parties, exploiting hardworking families while billions vanish into the shadows of fraud and favoritism.
I’ve seen this playbook up close—from my 21 years in Navy intelligence, where spotting deception was survival, to my whistleblower fight against the corruption that’s bankrupted our trust in government. Remember Feeding Our Future? Over $250 million in taxpayer dollars funneled to ghost schools and fake meals, with barely a ripple of accountability. Or the Medicaid scams siphoning funds from our vulnerable elders and kids? UnitedHealth’s overbilling empire? COVID slush funds doled out without audits? These aren’t partisan slip-ups; they’re bipartisan heists, enabled by DFL bloat and faux-Republican handshakes in smoke-filled Edina donor dens. The puppet masters—deep-pocketed donors from Cargill to Big Pharma, laundering cash through “nonprofits” and advocacy fronts—don’t care about red hats or blue ties. They thrive on division, propping up mannequins like Demuth (or Qualls before her, Robbins in between) to keep the circus spinning while veterans sleep on streets and families ration insulin under green-mandate crushes.
Olson’s piece lays it bare, even if she doesn’t name it: Demuth’s debut video? A fury-fueled binary of Walz’s “hate” versus Trump’s salute, with zero blueprints for curbing the crime flooding our streets or the taxes choking our paychecks. No specifics on clawing back stolen billions. No audit mandates. Just performative outrage—red meat for convention delegates, deflection for the donor class. As Olson notes, this “MAGA ferocity” clashes with Demuth’s “even-keeled” Capitol schmoozing with DFLers. Why the flip? Because statewide survival demands the act, but the elite demand compliance. Dodge the hard questions—on military borders, abortion, guns, or LGBTQ spaces—and stay in the Rolodex of the anointed. It’s the same shadow network I’ve exposed: Backroom “unity dinners” in Wayzata, absentee ballot harvesting floods, and media megaphones amplifying the approved narrative while smearing truth-tellers as “too extreme.”
This is how they fool us, Minnesotans. They weaponize race, gender, and timing—hailing Demuth as a “Black woman” trailblazer (true and historic, yet weaponized)—to guilt-trip us into silence. They pit neighbor against neighbor: Urban DFLers versus suburban moms, Iron Range independents versus Twin Cities elites. All while the shared predator loots the treasury. Walz’s “one Minnesota” is a punchline when families live in fear of rising costs and fentanyl waves. Demuth’s “business-friendly” vow? Hollow without forensic audits to gut the fraud machine. Both sides enable it, because the puppeteers own the strings.
But here’s the dawn breaking through: We’re not fooled anymore. The People’s Coalition—disillusioned DFLers, battle-tested Republicans, libertarians, non-voters, and everyday warriors from Anoka to Austin—is rising like the Mississippi in spring flood. We’re not a party; we’re a reckoning. Cross-partisan war councils tracking donor dark money. Precinct captains mobilizing voter integrity teams. Grassroots firebrands exposing the empty seats at elite galas versus the packed halls at our town halls. On August 11, 2026, the primary won’t crown a puppet—it’ll be our referendum on the rigged rodeo. We’ll audit every department, prosecute the grifters, and claw back every dime for the people it was stolen from. No more rationed futures. No more divided dreams. Just Minnesota strong: Affordable lives, secure borders (north and south), and prosperity that lifts every family, not just the connected.
This coalition isn’t rage—it’s resolve. Faith-fueled, courage-driven, perseverance-proven. We’ve already shifted the ground: BPOU chairs awakening to the gatekeepers’ games, supporters ditching the binaries for truth. The puppet masters sense it; that’s why the hype machine revs louder, the smears fly faster. But they underestimate us.
