INTEL REPORT

Title: Digital Sandbags Over Minnesota – Tech Disruptions, Quishing Scams, and Iranian Cyber Shadows Fueling the Grift
Date: 20 April 2026
Classification: Public Awareness Brief – Eyes on the Grift
SITUATION
Minnesotans are reporting widespread tech friction today: dropped calls, flaky texting, sluggish or dead social media feeds (especially X), and mail delays. You’re not crazy, and neither are the folks flooding your lines with the same complaints. X is catching the heaviest fire—Downdetector and user spikes show outages hitting hard in Minneapolis and across the Upper Midwest, right on schedule for a Monday when real voices need to move.
This isn’t random “bad luck.” In a constitutional republic under sustained assault by the same political-nonprofit-corporate crime syndicate that looted daycare funds, COVID relief, and election integrity, these “glitches” have a way of spiking when the exposure gets too loud.
MALICIOUS TECH THREATS – WHAT THE PUBLIC MUST KNOW RIGHT NOW
The usual low-life scammers are running hotter than ever in 2026, and they’re weaponizing the chaos:
• Quishing (QR-code phishing): Fake “Notice of Default” traffic texts, fake permit/zoning demands, and bogus government alerts with QR codes that bypass normal filters and steal card data or credentials. Minneapolis just warned on permit scams doing exactly this.
• AI-powered phishing & deepfakes: Voice-cloned “officials,” perfectly written emails, and vishing/smishing that sound like your bank, your church, or your campaign. Tech-support scams are hammering Minnesota businesses again—new alerts out of Moorhead this month.
• BEC & credential theft: Business email compromise using stolen logins to pose as insiders and drain accounts. Malicious browser extensions and fake apps are draining wallets left and right.
These aren’t kids in basements. They’re professional operators who thrive when honest Minnesotans can’t coordinate, verify, or fight back.
IRANIAN & STATE-AFFILIATED OVERLAP
U.S. agencies just dropped fresh warnings (April 7) on Iran-backed crews (CyberAv3ngers, MuddyWater/Seedworm, IRGC-linked) hammering American critical infrastructure—water, energy, PLCs, banks, airports—with disruptive attacks and ransomware proxies. Activity spiked after recent U.S./Israeli actions. These groups don’t always wear uniforms; they blend into criminal networks, use financial scams as cover, and love infrastructure disruption that creates confusion.
No smoking-gun proof today’s X hiccups or your dropped calls are direct Iranian state action… but the timing is interesting when a Navy intel veteran turned fraud whistleblower is exposing the looting networks that overlap with foreign influence ops. The syndicate at home has every incentive to let (or quietly encourage) the noise—keeps the spotlight off the billions in fraud, the rigged systems, and the street-level enablers.
VISION FOR MINNESOTA
Imagine a Minnesota where families, farmers, teachers, and small businesses can communicate, organize, and expose corruption without digital sandbags in the way. Where the rule of law actually applies to the DFL machine players, nonprofit grifters, and their corporate enablers. Where your tax dollars stop funding the syndicate and start rebuilding strong communities rooted in faith, hard work, and constitutional order. That’s the Minnesota we’re fighting for—secure, honest, and free from the thieves who treat our state like their personal ATM.
RECOMMENDED ACTIONS
1. Verify everything—especially QR codes, urgent “fees,” or calls demanding info. Hang up, call the real number yourself.
2. Use two-factor that isn’t text-based when possible.
3. Document every glitch, scam attempt, or suspicious outage and forward to the campaign.
4. Stay off public Wi-Fi for sensitive work.
The guilty hate sunlight. Operation Shadow Hunt keeps shining it—raw, relentless, and rooted in the truth that sets people free.
