Subject: Non-Citizen Voting Is a Crime — Minnesota Statutes and Federal Law

Classification: Public Warning

Date: 24 October 2026

Minnesota’s law is not complicated. Minn. Stat. § 201.014 says you must be a United States citizen, at least 18 years old, and a resident of this state for 20 days immediately before the election to be eligible to vote. Knowingly voting when you are not eligible is a felony. The Minnesota Secretary of State’s own site states the obvious: green card holders are not eligible. If you are in the process of becoming a citizen, you wait until after the naturalization ceremony before you register. Federal law, 18 U.S.C. § 611, makes it a crime for any non-citizen to vote in elections that include federal offices. Immigration consequences follow. The statute does not care about good intentions or paperwork in process. Citizenship is the line.

The Minnesota Constitution still requires a person to have been a citizen for three months. Official practice tracks the statute, but the requirement remains citizenship. No intermediate status—pending application, approved but not sworn in, temporary protected status, or green card—grants the right to vote in Minnesota elections or federal contests. Local, state, and federal elections all sit behind that same wall.

Recent federal actions in Minnesota have produced charges against non-citizens for illegal voting. Those cases confirm what the law already says. The penalty is real. So is the downstream effect on any future immigration benefit. Election officials, county auditors, and the Secretary of State’s office have the tools and the duty to challenge registrations when evidence shows the person is not a citizen. When they do not, the burden falls on citizens who refuse to look away.

Warning to local, state, and federal officials:

The Parrish Intelligence Cell and Operation Shadow Hunt contributors are watching voter rolls, registration processes, and election administration in Minnesota. We document what the statutes require and what the public record shows. Ineligible registrations and ballots cast by non-citizens are not administrative errors. They are crimes. Officials who ignore clear evidence, fail to challenge known non-citizens, or treat citizenship as optional will be named in public briefings with the statute and the facts attached. The constitutional republic of Minnesota belongs to its citizens. It does not run on the honor system for people who have not completed naturalization.

Call to the public:

If you see an ineligible person register or vote, report it. Our team will protect your identity. Do not let the process become a back door. Minnesota’s future is not improved by diluting the franchise of the people who live under its laws, pay its taxes, and answer for its debts. Farmers, workers, veterans, and families who have built this state deserve elections that follow the statute, not the latest talking point. Truth still matters. Christ is King. The law is the law.

Report tips and evidence through the channels listed below. We will handle the rest.
