A thought I am compelled to share as I have endeavored to live through the ups and downs of life and witnessed in others as they too have endeavored to live.
By the grace and mercy of God, I have reached the point in life’s journey where I learned how to own my sins, stop beating myself up, and reject false responsibility for the sins of others.
My mission and goal in life has become more focused on praying and hoping to live as God has called us to live. I pray all people have opportunities to hear God calling them, to know that they are loved and accepted, and that they too can trust in God’s grace and mercy.
I have two prayers I repeat endlessly, especially when tested by the demands of life:
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come; thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For the kingdom, the power, and the glory are yours now and for ever.
and
O my Jesus, forgive us our sins, save us from the fires of hell; lead all souls to heaven especially those who are in most need of Your mercy.
We are all in desperate need of God’s mercy and grace. I pray all people have the opportunity to know God, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
Amen
