Minneapolis, MN – Phillip C. Parrish, retired U.S. Navy Intelligence analyst and candidate for Governor of Minnesota in 2026, today extends his sincere thanks to President Donald J. Trump for the administration’s proactive steps to safeguard election integrity in Minnesota. The recent U.S. Department of Justice requests for comprehensive voter registration data, list maintenance procedures, and records on inactive or relocated voters directly align with the federal investigation I urged in my March 16, 2025, memorandum to President Trump, Attorney General Pam Bondi, and FBI Director Kash Patel.
In that open letter, I highlighted critical vulnerabilities in Minnesota’s voter rolls, including inflation from thousands of deceased, duplicate, and out-of-state entries, exacerbated by delayed cleanups (such as the 34,721 post-2020 cancellations), same-day registration without real-time verification, and automatic registration systems. I called for amendments to the National Voter Registration Act (NVRA) to mandate pre-election validations using federal databases, stricter enforcement, and penalties for noncompliance—measures essential to preventing fraud in a state with historically tight margins, like the 233,000-vote difference in 2020. Drawing from my experience exposing Minnesota’s $250 million daycare fraud and the $250 million Feeding Our Future scheme, I offered my expertise to assist in any federal probe.
The DOJ’s mid-July inquiries to Minnesota and other states represent a vital response to these concerns, promoting transparency and accountability in voter list management. This action underscores President Trump’s commitment to restoring trust in our elections, ensuring every legal vote counts and ineligible ones do not. As a counterterrorism expert and whistleblower, I applaud this much-needed support for Minnesota, where state-level resistance has too often prioritized unchecked access over verifiable accuracy.
