They Did Not Wander Here — And 9/11 Was Not a Closed File

A good woman asked a simple question this week.

Why did all those Somalis come to Minnesota long ago — besides the usual story that Obama and Emmer once worked the same room?

She was not being cruel. She was being honest. She remembered being unhappy about it even when she was not yet in the fight. That is how most of Minnesota felt, and how most of Minnesota was told to shut up.

Here is the answer without the costume.

They did not wander here because the lakes were pretty. The largest Somali diaspora in North America was not weather. It was policy plus money plus a political machine that discovered a renewable resource: clients who could be enrolled, billed, organized, and shielded. Decent families who fled a real war got stacked in front of a fraud factory and told they were the point of the exercise. They were not. The invoice was the point.

That is not a theory I cooked up for a campaign. It is a logistics chain I first watched on paper in 2016–2017 out of Joint Task Force – National Capital Region: hawala, bulk cash, MSP to Amsterdam to Nairobi to Mogadishu. Public CBP seizure logs were already screaming. Suitcases. Hundreds of thousands a hit. Passengers tied to Cedar-Riverside nonprofits already flagged by Minnesota DHS for phantom daycare. I said then the tracked slice was already in the hundreds of millions. A decade later the public is still being told nine billion is shocking. It is conservative. NewsNation put the account on camera. The paper was never the problem. The will to act was the problem.

Chaos is inventory

On the twenty-fifth anniversary of September 11, Americans will be told to remember the dead and then move on. I remember the dead. Seven of them were Minnesotans. I also remember the paper. I remember what crossed the watch floor. I remember what was withheld so a narrative could survive an election, a budget cycle, or a career.

Jihadist networks had been at war with this country long before that Tuesday. Warnings existed. Aviation security was a joke by design. Flight training happened in plain sight — including in Minnesota. Patsies and operators do not require every official to be in on a plot. They require officials who look away, officials who bury inconvenient reporting, and officials who later invent a story that protects the people who failed.

The order that followed 9/11 was sold as security. Parts of it were necessary. Parts of it were a feeding trough. Wars create contractors. Chaos creates NGOs. Refugees create VOLAGs. VOLAGs create clients. Clients create welfare enrollments. Enrollments create billing. Billing creates fraud. Fraud creates overseas hawalas. Hawalas create the next cell.

If you have sat a watch floor, that sentence is not poetry. It is a supply line.

Benghazi on the eleventh anniversary of 9/11 was the same signature in a different theater: narrative first, American blood second, damage-control talking points after the bodies were counted. I was on active duty through it. The first story was a lie. Minnesota later ran its own version of the reflex — hide the paper, keep the payout, call the witness crazy. Different building. Same culture.

The Minnesota node

The Horn of Africa did not collapse in a vacuum. Hubert Humphrey’s secret-war generation, Walter Mondale’s 1980 Refugee Act while the United States was still arming Siad Barre, Rudy Boschwitz’s airlifts — bipartisan “heroes” helped produce the waves, then the contractors cashed the per-head bonuses. Lutheran Social Service. Catholic Charities the corporation, not your parish. IRC. Arrive Ministries. State DHS. Federal grants for every arrival. Chain migration as a bonus. No serious records out of a failed state, so no serious vetting.

Then the DFL machine and its nonprofit web discovered what the architects had delivered: a population that could be parked in one metro, plugged into food stamps, Section 8, Medicaid, CCAP, housing stabilization, meal sites, autism billing, COVID “relief,” and told the rest of us we were bigots for noticing the bill.

Feeding Our Future. Phantom daycares. Housing schemes. Autism mills. Suitcases at MSP. Hawalas Treasury had already designated as al-Shabaab fronts in 2012. Foreign principals still holding meetings in Minneapolis banquet halls without FARA registrations. Diaspora “policy” briefed on Minnesota soil as if this were a province.

Obama-era parole and endless TPS extensions kept the faucet open. Emmer spent years in the Congressional Somalia Caucus with Keith Ellison selling “peace and stability” and calling the arrivals some of the fastest assimilators in America. Later he found his voice. The pipeline did not start in either man’s office. Both men lived off the same file for a long time.

That is why they came. That is why they were concentrated. That is why every attempt to shut the faucet is branded hate. Compassion for people who fled mortars is not the same thing as running a racketeering enterprise on their backs and on the backs of Minnesota farmers, veterans, parish families, and working poor.

Four faces, one harvest

I have named them before. I will name them again.

Architects — the politicians, VOLAG executives, and unelected regional overlords who designed import-for-cash and called the rules “equity.”

Profiteers — the LLC shells, billing mills, ghost meal sites, daycare phantoms.

Protectors — the media, HR commissars, and officeholders who swing the race card the moment a ledger appears. Their job is time.

Foot soldiers — street chaos, clan beef on Rice Park during a graduation, the useful riot that always seems to arrive the week an audit is due.

Jihadist networks want a body count and a recruiting tape. NGO and financial networks want cheap inventory and a permanent emergency. Political machines want a dependent bloc and a cut of every grant. Contractors want the next “stabilization” contract. These groups do not hold hands. They compete. They also feed each other. Chaos is inventory. Everybody gets paid except the host.

Christ is not confused about this. He cursed the barren fig tree. He drove the money changers out of the temple. He did not appoint a task force to study whether the thieves had a compelling narrative. He named the den of thieves and He cleaned it.

What a constitutional republic does instead

A producer economy grows food, builds machines, raises children, defends a border, and worships God. A parasite economy grows invoices. Minnesota was turned into a node of the second one and told it was virtue.

The vision is not complicated, and it is one ordinary Minnesotans can recognize without a consultant:

Honest weights. A secure border. Schools that teach children instead of laundering money. A farmer in Goodhue County who keeps his land. A miner on the Range who can work without a decade of permission theater. A veteran who collects what he was promised. A parish school that stays open. A mother who can walk a street without calculating which gang owns the block. Paper, lists, configuration — not feelings — when the count is taken. Temporary protection that is actually temporary. Foreign agents on American soil who register or leave. Stolen money clawed back. Architects named under statutes that already exist.

That is not hatred. That is love of neighbor with a spine. The man who refuses to name a thief is not merciful. He is an accomplice.

On September 11, remember the dead by telling the truth they were denied while they were still breathing. The link chart is not going back in the box. The suitcases already left the terminal. The only question left is whether Minnesota remains a host — or finally remembers it is a republic.

Christ is King.

Starve the invoice machine.

Keep the paper.
